Dropped the bike yesterday in a gravel lot, zero mph, but lots of cosmetic damage. Left bag lid, valve cover, hi way peg broke off. Still runs fine. We're in Jesup, GA tonight. Key West (1st corner) was hot and crowded.

How many daily miles are you three averaging? Any trouble finding lodging for three? Aprox 490/day. Not so far. Tonite we are in Ashland, WI. It was cool with some rain. We've had more rain so far than our entire trip to Alaska & back by 9 hours.

Once you turn the 3rd corner and head south you can put your rain suit away and breakout the mesh and hydration vests! How is the new RT holding up? Tell Dan I said hello, look forward to hearing more details over pancakes in a couple weeks.

Tonite we're in Sea-Tac area WA. 3rd corner bagged, 4th only 1230 miles south of here. 75% of corners done, however, only 60% of miles completed (approx 7000). Once we get south of San Francisco, it will be hot & dry til Texas then hot & humid the rest of the way. Lucky us!

Tell Dan I said hello, look forward to herring more details over pancakes in a couple weeks. What rain gear? My 7 year old waterproof jacket leaked badly during the 1st rain and my 3 month old waterproof pants leaked, also during that same 1st rain. Some minor issues with the RT; front rotors a little wrapped, a shuddering at 3k and the warranty will expire before I get back.

How are you guys doing with your time limit?
Sounds like a stop at one of those giant West Coast dealers may be in order.

Yesterday we were in the Sea-Tac area again for some R & R at Dan's brother's house. Tonite we are in La Pine, OR about a 100 miles ahead of plan. Went around Mt Ranier but low clouds kept us from seeing it. Weather great today, due to clouds.
