Two days into our trip. The weather has cooperated wonderfully. Two days here at Fontana village before we move on to Ohio and then Pennsylvania.

Congratulations on capturing a Black Bear, look forward to seeing the video, I have run across black bears backpacking the appalachian trail in the Smokies, in Cades Cove, and on the Blue Ridge Parkway and have yet been able to capture a decent photo!

Can't wait to show it to you. We've already posted it on Facebook.

Day four was another beautiful day. We checked out of the Fontana Village Resort and went to Deals Gap for breakfast. We then rode the Cherohala Skyway. It was way out of our way but I did not want to leave without adding that ride to our done list. We then rode 360 to 441 to Knoxville and then I-75 to Wright Patterson AFB. We will spend tonight and tomorrow night here visiting with family and friends before heading up to Pennsylvania for more family and friends before Roar on the Shore kicks off on Wednesday

pent with friends and family. We did still manage to get some riding in. Tomorrow is supposed to be another beautiful day for the last 300 miles up to Erie, Pennsylvania. We got a family reunion and a graduation party to attend. The bike is performing wonderfully.

Day 6 checked out of our hotel at Wright Patterson AFB and had breakfast. We were on the road by 8:30 AM. The 300 mile ride to Erie, Pennsylvania was beautiful. The temperature was in the 70's and the humidity was low. The traffic never got to bad. The family reunion was too short. There was to much food. It was nice to see everyone. Then we went to my cousins daughters graduation. Man does my cousin Cheryl know to throw a party.

Day 7 was spent with family and friends. Day 8 we picked up our Roar on the Shore tickets and started collecting our stamps at three of the five local establishments. Plan to pick up the other two tomorrow.

The second day of Roar on the Shore was better than the first. Bringing in the Roar was awesome. They said that there were 30,000 people lining the streets to watch the bikes go by. Terry GoPro'd our trip in. We had a great time with the Roar thru History with my cousins Sandy and Charlie and finished the day at a concert featuring Danny the Count and the 77 with my cousins Cheryl and Chris. What a great time. And it all started off with a birthday breakfast at The Breakfast Place with my Mom, Tery, Aunt Bev, Aunt Barb, Uncle Frank, Sue, Sandy and Charlie. Can't wait till tomorrow.

Well we just finished the last motorcycle ride for Roar on the Shore, the poker run through the wineries with Sandy and Charlie. The rain finally caught up to us but we braved the elements. The final concert is tonight with the lead singer from Twisted Sister and then for a 800 mile ride tomorrow back to my cousin Wayne's in South Carolina.

Sounds like one for the must do rallies......I highly recommend staying up north if you can, it has been brutal this month in Central Florida, it's been worse than the normal Aug weather but in July!

The final Roar on the Shore update. I made it home safe and sound at 3 this afternoon. The final tally was 3577 miles and about $1600 in damages. Can't wait till next year.
