Riders,
During the 2021 BMW National RA Rally in Waynesville, NC a few of us were wishing for a few more riding days. While Waynesville’s roads did not disappoint this is also true in northern Georgia.

Two Wheels of Suches Georgia is located close to the rally in the heart of the Chattahoochee National Forest. Many of you are familiar with this location but for those of you who aren’t. It offers numerous challenging roads including the diabolically twisty Wolf Pen Gap Road. This place does not disappoint with 8 basic camping cabin, clean restrooms and showers. As campgrounds goes TWoS is one of my favorites with it’s beautiful stream that winds through the campsite. Unfortunately no facilities for RVs.

The plan:
The National RA rally starts on Wednesday 9/28/22 thru Sunday 10/2/22 and I’m looking for members interested in extending this ride to include 2 nights at Two Wheels of Suches to participate in some spectacular additional riding.
Day 1, Saturday, 9/24/22:
Depart our Speedway location on at 8am and make our way to Milledgeville Georgia which is just around 300 miles. Allowing for a few stops and lunch should see us to our hotel easily by late afternoon. There are numerous hotels and restaurants at various price points. Once we have interest from our membership we can have a quick discussion to agree on food and a lodging location for our first leg of our trip to Suches.
Day 2, Sunday, 9/25/22:
Depart the hotel the following morning around 9am. It’s approximately 150 miles to Suches which is a very easy ride. This is when the riding will greatly improve as we head into the mountains.
We can discuss the final ride details once I have a better handle on group interest.
We’ll depart the campground on the 28th at around 10 am and make our way to RA Rally in Waynesville, NC which is 110 miles Northeast from Suches. Easy ride!
Waynesville is about 550 miles from the Speedway in Brooksville. If you’re interested in extending your ride to the RA rally and making this trip a bit more leisurely. Please reach out to me at gmcphoto@yahoo.com.
Heading Home:
Packing up, breakfast, lunch all takes time so I typically just head for Dublin, GA as my first day destination.
Riding home Waynesville to Dublin GA which is 250 miles. From Dublin to the Speedway is an additional 300 miles for the second leg of the trip. Easy ride home.
If you’re interested in joining us please reach out and contact me.
