Here's the ride report for Event #1 of the AMA National Adventure & Dual Sport Series! All AMA Members that participated are entered into a drawing for a new Super Tenere and a drawing of the Husqvarna of your choice! Let's begin by giving you a little background.... DDS has already done 7 Cross-Florida events, beginning in 2008. Those events were hard-core dual sport, trail oriented rides. Last year, DDS was approached by the AMA to bring a National Event back to Bike Week. How could we say no to the the organization that does so much to protect our Right to Ride and that made so many wonderful DDS events possible! Mention was made of bringing an Adventure Series event to Daytona, and with a catalog of 8 adventure routes across the state already in DDS, the perfect option was ready to be put in play. This event was the Beta test. It allowed us to see the abilities of the riders and the variety of bikes they would ride. This information will go a long way to fine tune the event in the coming years. Yes, this is planned to be a Bike Week staple! So climb on board, take a look, and get prepared for next year! We want you to ride with us..... and we want you to have a chance to win a new bike!

C-FL 2013: Over 80 riders registered for the C-FL! They came from as far away as California and New York, with ages spanning from late 20's to late 70's, and rode bikes from an XT250 to GSA1200's! Oh..... and the V-Max.... but we'll cover THAT later! One thin g they all had in common? They were going Coast-to-Coast in the next few minutes! A cold morning deserved a warm breakfast at the Cracker Barrel! The were nice enough to let us stage the event from the parking lot, and we were nice enough to bring them in a boatload of early morning business! The faces of the C-FL..... Yours truly conducting the riders meeting, with Dave Hembroff (in red) Riding Manager of the AMA

Frosty (He was riding my 690) Here's Rich and his XRL650 somewhere early on.... check out that swingarm sticker! Stylin' my brother! And the first person to be "swept" ? You betcha.... the lady who racked up almost 700 miles that weekend on an XT250! Hiya Samantha! Hey! Stylin' with that swingarm sticker as well! This Cross-Florida thing is easy.... Until the 3 hours it took sweep to run the 9 mile section of the Old Brick Road... The text that was sent to me stated: "The brick road is eating up these big bikes!"
